October 2025 - Special Honors and Appreciation go to Dr. Sam George, completing this year his role as a (double-term, 10-year) Catalyst for Global Diasporas with Lausanne. Special tribute was made on Friday, Oct. 4, 2025 and was given by Dr. TV Thomas --thanking Dr. Sam and wife Mary for their many years of personal friendship and dedication to the Diaspora cause within Lausanne, mentioning too Sam's authorship of numerous books and groundbreaking articles on the topic of global diasporas. Sam's role in the Latin American Consultation also included a "Diaspora Reading of the Book of Ruth" -- bringing to fore new approaches in Exegesis and Hermeneutics that includes changing geography and the "Motus Dei." Noted during the Latin American Consultation were the Lausanne Occasional Papers #70 & 78 (being published in English, Portuguese and Spanish -- provided for all attendees). Sam's role with previous consultations for Africa and Asia were also highlighted, as well as the Reflections of Asian Diaspora (vol #1-#3). ... See MoreSee Less
