Purpose
To convene a catalytic gathering and conversation among leading scholars and practioners of diaspora missions of Latin Americans worldwide and in Latin America.

Objectives
- Learn and discuss about mission by, through and among Latin America diasporas worldwide.
- Assess the impact of migration to, within and from Latin America.
- Explore new horizons for diaspora missions in the contexts of economic migrants, international students, family migrants, internal migrants and forcibly displaced peoples.
- Create a forum for scholars and practitioners to network and collaborate.
- Compile proceedings of the consultation into a future publication.

CONSULTATION REGISTRATION
Everyone needs to register online and pay appropriate fees in full. Payment can be made by PayPal and VISA or MasterCard (add others) in US dollars.

TRAVEL
All participants are responsible for their travel costs to and from Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport (code GRU).
VISA
Check visa requirements for your travel to Brazil— www.gov.br
If you need a tourist visa, please apply at least eight weeks before you begin travel. To apply for a visa, you may need to request for an Invitation Letter as early as possible
from AMTB, the co-sponsoring Brazilian mission organization.

ARRIVAL
All are expected to arrive at Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport by 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Bus transportation from the airport to the Consultation venue (three and half hours away) will be provided.
CURRENCY
Few places accept other currencies including USD in Brazil. Most accepted currency is BRAZILIAN REAL(BRL). If need cash for shopping etc. please exchange the currency at the airport.
SIM CARD
The Consultation hotel has good Wi-fi. If you need a SIM Card in Brazil, it is best to get it at the airport.
CHECK-IN AT HOTEL
Check in and on-site registration at Zanon hotel begins at 3:00pm on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
DEPARTURE
All are expected to check out at Zanon Hotel before 11:00 AM on Sunday, October 5th, 2025. Bus transportation from the Consultation venue will be provided to arrive at the airport by 4:00 PM.
AIRPORT SERVICES
Upon arrival at Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport and after going through immigration, please meet one of the GDN 2025 Greeters outside with signs. They will
guide and help you with your needs.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
To avail of FREE ground transportation to the Consultation venue, book a flight to arrive at Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport by 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 2, 2025 and depart after 7:00 PM on Sunday October 5, 2025. All others need to arrange their own ground transportation.
Arrival/ Departure Form will be sent to you after your registration is received. It must be filled out and returned for airport pick-up and drop-off services.
ACCOMMODATION
All participants are expected to stay at the Hotel Zanon where the Consultation sessions are held and the meals are provided.
FOOD
Registration includes breakfast, noon meal, evening meal and snacks, beginning on Thursday evening meal of October 2 nd and end with noon meal on Sunday, October 5th, 2025. Please indicate on the Registration Form of any food restrictions.
SAFETY
Participants are encouraged to take all precautionary steps for their personal safety and recommended to adhere to safety practices.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Consultation registration fees can be cancelled until July 31, 2025 for a 100% refund.
From August 1 to August 31, 2025, the refund amount will be 70%. From September 1 to September 30, 2025, the refund will be 50%.
After October 1, 2025 the registration fee will not be refunded. To request a refund within the dates mentioned above, please contact GDN2025@globaldiasporanetwork.org
